Katiku Loku, Jan 19th – The strong bond within Kolping Family Katiku Loku continues to be the main strength in every activity they do. This community, mostly consisting of women, always strives to create a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere in every meeting.
On January 19, 2025, Kolping Family Katiku Loku held their annual evaluation meeting, combined with a Christmas celebration and a recreational gathering. This special event allowed members to reflect on the past year’s journey while planning programs for the coming year. The highlight of the event was the gift exchange, with a minimum price of Rp 50,000. The joy and excitement shared among members proved that togetherness always brings happiness.
The Chairperson of Kolping Family Katiku Loku, Agustina Bulu, emphasized the importance of loyalty in an organization. “What helps us grow is our commitment to the organization. So, never leave Kolping,” she said with enthusiasm.
In addition to planning their annual program, Kolping Family Katiku Loku has a big mission: to establish Kolping Family Waibaku. This group was previously supported by the late P. Herman May CSsR. With a strong sense of unity and teamwork, they hope that Kolping Family Waibaku will soon be established and grow successfully.
Kolping Family Katiku Loku Activities
As part of their effort to strengthen togetherness and contribute to the community, Kolping Family Katiku Loku consistently carries out various activities. Every month, they hold regular meetings to evaluate past activities and plan for the future. They also actively participate in social visits, showing care and support for fellow members and other communities. Pilgrimages are organized as spiritual journeys to deepen faith and reflection. To support community needs, they provide equipment rental services that can be used collectively. Recollections are held to deepen spirituality and strengthen bonds among members. Additionally, rotating savings (arisan) serve as a way to foster togetherness while also supporting members’ financial stability. “Through these various programs, Kolping Family Katiku Loku continues to grow as a strong and enthusiastic community, dedicated to their vision and mission,” stressed Lily Pawolung, a committed Kolping staff in Sumba
