Where We Work
Kolping Indonesia is committed to empowering communities across the diverse islands of NTT Province. Our work spans three major islands: Flores, Sumba, and West Timor, where we collaborate with local communities and dioceses to promote self-reliance, family values, and community development.
Areas of Operation:
- Flores Island: Known for its cultural diversity and rich Catholic traditions, Kolping is active in multiple Dioceses here, focusing on both spiritual and socio-economic growth through saving and loan group.
- Sumba Island: A region rich in tradition but facing challenges in agriculture and development. Kolping empowers local families with training in sustainable farming, community leadership, and water, tree project and education (Asrama).
- West Timor: Our programs in West Timor focus on education, and local economic initiatives to foster self-sufficiency and credit union.
Dioceses:
Kolping Indonesia operates in 7 out of 8 dioceses in NTT, with a strong presence in:
- Diocese of Sumba
- Diocese of Ruteng (Flores)
- Archdiocese of Kupang (West Timor)
- Diocese of Ende (Flores)
- Diocese of Atambua (West Timor)
- Diocese of Maumere (Flores)
- Diocese of Larantuka (Flores)
Our reach continues to grow, aiming to engage more dioceses and communities to expand our mission of empowering individuals through education, skill development, and community-building activities.
